We are delighted to communicate that one of our customers, Insignia Technologies Ltd, won a Gold Award at the Du Pont 2017 Packaging Innovation Awards for their innovative Freshtag last month.
The winners were announced on the 22nd May 2017 after an independent judge panel evaluated almost 150 entries from 24 countries.
The competition honours innovations in packaging design, processes and technology that address the diverse needs of customers around the world, and is recognised globally as one of the leading programmes of its kind.
The Insignia Freshtag is a smart, award-winning label that changes colour to indicate the loss of freshness and temperature increases. This offers customers a clearer understanding of how long products have been opened in the fridge and can help to reduce the amount of food waste at home.
Macfarlane Labels worked closely with Insignia Technologies to offer their expertise and knowledge of ink, materials and production processes that helped to bring the Insignia ideas to life.
